Interested in participating in CCP? Below is information that will help you plan for and make the most of your trip to D.C.
 

CCP Preparation:​

• Step 1: Check out when your state is coming to Washington D.C.
• Step 2: Contact NAMIC's Director of Grassroots Advocacy Kristin Eichhorn to register.
• ​Step 3: Confirm your lodging arrangements with Kristin Eichhorn
   

Before you come: 

Familiarize yourself with the issues. Also be sure to know who your member of Congress is. Already have a relationship with a member of Congress or are interested in developing one to further educate lawmakers on issues affecting our industry? Then you should look into NAMIC’s Key Contact Program.
 

Day one of your CCP Visit: 

Join us at NAMIC’s Federal Affairs office in Washington D.C. for an evening briefing that will cover topics you will be discussing on the Hill the next day. Briefings usually start at 5 p.m. and last about 1 hour. It’s at these briefings that you will receive your packet of information including your schedule as well as meet the Federal Affairs team.
 

Day of your meetings on Capitol Hill: ​

Suggested attire is business casual. Meet your escort at the location provided on your schedule. From there on out simply follow your NAMIC escort to your appointments and educate your lawmakers on the issues that affect the property/casualty insurance industry.
